Clinical significance of test

Gastrin 17 is secreted by G cells in the gastric antral mucosa. It binds to cholecystokinin receptor (CCKR) and exerts its biological effects through a series of signal transduction, mainly involved in stimulating gastric acid secretion and nourishing the gastrointestinal mucosa. Gastrin-17 can indicate the functional status of the patient’s gastric mucosa.
